2025 Hardship Outlook

2024 was a year that has seen many challenges to the less fortunate in our community.  The financial picture was bleak from the beginning of the year, and has only seemed to have gotten worse in 2024.  There have been organizations similar to Soup for the Soul who have been forced to terminate their operations due to lack of funding, lack of volunteers and not being able to keep up with the needs of the people they served.  That being said, Soup for the Soul Dundalk has seen a noticeable increase in clients and a greater need for support.  There are many individuals and businesses who provide financial support, but the need is getting greater every week.  Our product partners (see Contributor Page) do what they can to keep our shelves stocked for the regular Monday Food Giveaways and for us to have some products in case of an emergency situation.  Our goal is to minimize the food insecurity that exists in our community and show those less fortunate that there are people who care about them.

In addition to our primary mission of assisting the food insecure population, we like to provide other services to our clients.  Events like our Easter Giveaway, Memorial Day and Labor Day cookouts, Back to School Celebration (school supplies, hair cutting, etc.), Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway, and Christmas Celebration are all welcomed and needed by our clientele.  All of our efforts require volunteers, product contributors and financial contributors.

Please consider a Tax-deductible donation to the cause by using the QR Code or sending a check to:

"The turkeys were late getting to us and we had to scramble to provide a hot meal at the last minute, but we did what's been done for the last 40 years.  Just another day in the life of Soup for the Soul Dundalk" - Stacy Nagel, Director

It's because of a caring community that we can provide some food security to help those who are in need.  Our Thanksgiving Giveaway provided meals for at least 200 households in our community.

Christmas Needs

Christmas is always coming!

In addition to our food and grocery giveaway, we intend to provide a Christmas gift to each of our clients. There are several families who rely on us, and we'd really like to give each child a small gift for them to enjoy  during the Christmas Holiday.  In addition to the children, there are some clients who don't have and can't afford what most of us consider typical kitchen tools such as can openers or other small gadgets.  It is our wish that we could provide these types of items during the Christmas season and beyond.

Please consider donating some items that you feel will help those less fortunate and/or grabbing a few chances of the raffle.

About Soup for the Soul Dundalk

We are currently looking for partners who can assist with the continuation and growth of Soup for the Soul.  Since we have moved into a larger facility, the operating costs to keep this vital assistance program viable have greatly increased.   Currently there are only a few contributors and we need your help!

If you own a business or have influence with your corporation, we would be interested in talking with you about partnering with our 501c3 organization.

Tax deductible donations can be sent to:
